Serena

Serena’s deep-rooted connection to wildlife and the earth is practically in her DNA. Growing up on farms in Africa, she was rarely seen without an animal by her side—often to the surprise of her mother, who never knew which stray Serena might bring home next!
Her passion for animal welfare started early when she joined the South African Society for the Protection of Animals at just 9 years old. At 18 she trained as a Holistic Massage Therapist and additionally obtained a diploma in Animal Holistic Massage.
After volunteering with animal and bird charities in South Africa, Serena continued supporting local wildlife organisations when she moved to the Wirral. She joined Wirral Fox Rescue in December 2025 and is especially looking forward to helping with community events, sharing her enthusiasm for wildlife with schools, care homes, and anyone else who enjoys a good fox story. 🦊

Every animal brought into rescue, brings its own needs and vet bills – and we will only be able to help them all, with your help.
