Forthcoming Event

Please see below for some brief details of the events we have undertaken previously…

Mayfields Woodland Burial Grounds

1st July 2026

Wirral Fox Rescue were delighted to co-host a community presentation with Yvonne and the team at this super location in Eastham, Wirral.  We dropped leaflets to local homes in addition to publishing the event on Facebook, and had 60 attendees on this lovely summer evening.  Ray and Angela gave a presentation about all-things-foxy, which led to some great questions and discussion. Sarah did some face-painting for the younger audience and we also had some fox masks coloured in by some of the children. Mayfields provided some refreshments and the foxy merchandise stall was very popular. All in all we raise £577 for our cause. Thanks to everybody who came, to our super volunteers for giving up their time, and to Yvonne and the team for making it possible.

Wirral Coastal Walk

7th June 2026

Wirral Fox Rescue were delighted to take part in the 40th running of this amazing event that’s organised by The Rotary Clubs of Wirral. At least 25 of our fabulous supporters joined 4 of our dedicated volunteers for the 20km walk from The Floral Pavillion in New Brighton to the Visitor Centre in Thurstaston.

Bertie also dragged along 2 of his foxy friends who high-pawed innocent bystanders and posed for photos along the way. About 1,600 people took part in the event and the weather was very kind, despite the gloomy skies.

We’d like to say a huge “Thank you” to everyone who walked with us and fundraised on our behalf. We also hope that all the other very worthy causes had a successful day.

See you next year!!

The Old Garden Luxury Care Home

9th April 20206

Huge thanks to Victoria and the Team for inviting us to present to the residents of their lovely care home. The 15 residents in the main lounge were really engaged with the story of our work with the foxes, and many had tales to tell about their own wildlife encounters.
Bertie the Fox made an appearance and presented a framed fox photo for them to put on display and remember us by. Bertie was then taken upstairs (his first ride in a lift!) to say “Hi” and wave to some of the residents who weren’t able to get down to the main room. Thanks to the Old Garden Team for your very generous donation and for becoming our latest Kennel Sponsor. See you again soon.
